Human Resources Advisor | Law Firm | Contract role | HKG

Our client, a leading global law firm, is currently seeking an HR Advisor for a 3-month contract role to immediately join their Hong Kong office, supporting the Asia business's HR operations.
ROLE
- Reporting to the regional Head of HR and supporting the regional HR functions of the firm.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding logistics, including employment contract preparations.
- Maintain HRIS and support payroll and salary review.
- HR administrative support, compliance monitoring of HR laws
- Support HRM and Head of HR respectively on ad hoc matters
YOU
- University degree in HR Management or related field.
- at least 4 years' HR experience, ideally in law firms, and with knowledge of Hong Kong Law Society reporting preferred.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills.

- Fluency in English and Chinese language is a must.

- Coordinating Hong Kong Law Society and renewal procedures of Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Legal Analyst | Graduate Entry-Level | YUZU ALSP | HKG
Primary Objective:
YUZU, an Alternative Legal Services Provider, is seeking indicators of interest from fresh and recent graduates in Hong Kong who are readily available to undertake upcoming client assignments as a Legal Analyst.
Depending on the assignment, you will support our clients of all sizes ranging from international financial institutions, multi-national companies, listed companies, SMEs and start-up technology companies in playing a key supporting role in their legal operations. Depending on the client demands, there may be opportunities to switch clients when one assignment ends and another starts.
Client demands will vary, and some assignments are of a temporary nature, typically 3-6 months, whilst others may be ongoing. Some opportunities may even enable the successful applicant to work remotely or in a hybrid work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate, review, and draft a wide range of general commercial contracts, including procurement, customer, and vendor contracts, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and its timely execution.
- Maintain an organised contract repository, ensuring that all contracts adhere to the necessary regulatory requirements and internal protocols.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of contract templates and legal processes to streamline contract management.
- Stay informed about legal and regulatory developments and procurement processes relevant to your assigned field.
- Conducting due diligence exercises and legal research.
- Manage administrative tasks related to contract management, including meticulous record-keeping and efficient document retrieval.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law in a common law jurisdiction or a similar discipline.
- As well as fresh graduates, candidates with between 6 months to 2 years experience in negotiating and reviewing general commercial and procurement contracts, preferably within the banking or financial services industry, are welcome.
- Strong comprehension of contract law.
- Experience in contract negotiation and contract management is advantageous although not necessarily mandatory as training and supervision will be given.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic legal environment.

Our client, a major international law firm is looking for a Finance Team Lead to be responsible for all areas of finance operations for the Tokyo office and also provide support and guidance to other APAC offices from time to time. The role can be stationed in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations for the Tokyo office.
- Collaborate with the Tokyo General Manager and partners.
- Manage group reporting, cash flow, and treasury.
- Prepare annual financial statements for Japan tax filing.
- Optimize processes and supervise a team of 2 overseas-based accountants.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and provide finance-related training.
Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-transaction checks, including contract and legal document review.

- Monitor transactions post-execution, track performance metrics, and identify issues.
