Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Masters Degree would be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience in academic field would be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organisational and administrative abilities for effective academic coordination.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and the latest trends in Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Engineering.
  • Previous experience in academic coordination or administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with accreditation processes and standards.
  • Experience in using modern educational technologies and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department heads and faculty to develop and update the curriculum in alignment with the latest industry trends and educational standards.
  • Schedule and manage courses, examinations, and assignments, ensuring an organised and efficient academic calendar.
  • Monitor students' academic progress, providing support and guidance when needed.
  • Facilitate communication between students, faculty, and administration.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lectures, workshops, and laboratory sessions in the fields of Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Engineering.
  • Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lecture notes, and assessments.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, catering to the diverse needs of our student body.Provide academic advisement and mentorship to students regarding their career and academic goals.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic reviews.
  • Collaborate with the administration on accreditation and compliance requirements.
