POSITION: Pre-Analytical Clerk
LOCATION: Tyger Valley
An opportunity has come up to hire a qualified individual for the permanent post of Pre-Analytical Clerk, which will be based at branch in Tyger Valley
Key Responsibilities
- Timekeeping, quality control, customer liaison, and patient confidentiality.
- Use LIS (Skylims) for reporting and document control, and adhere to Health and Safety procedures. manage outstanding tasks, handle conflict resolution, and act on emails from internal and external sources.
- Logging, receiving g and shipping of request forms and sample specimen
- Recording of samples to lab according to SOP
- Sample storage timeous, correct and neat
- Scanning of request forms
- Maintenance of equipment eg. Computers, printer, centrifuge, fridges etc)
- Maintain general administrative duties such as temperature logs and bench decontamination.
- Logging, receiving and shipping of pathology samples in and out of the site or department
- Ensure completion of tasks within stipulated timeframes meet TATs
- Cashiering, receipting, banking of cash and Medical aid verification
- Timeous completion of QCs and reviews
- Recording keeping eg. In house tracking book, shipping batches, theatre slips
- Queries must be documented at all times if unable to resolve immediately
GENERAL

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Previous Lab Experience
- BSC Qualification - advantageous
- Working knowledge of the different Medical Aids, the benefits, capitated options,
- Must be able to work shifts
